Welcome to Stop #14 on the Stampin Addicts 2011 Holiday Mini Blog Hop! If you’re hopping in order, you’ve just been admiring Lisa’s creations at Add Ink and Stamp. Don’t her Stitched Stockings projects make you want to hum Jingle Bells?
Here at InkPaperStamps, we’re playing with the new Stocking builder punch. To add to the fun, we’re also offering some blog candy!
As Lisa so ably showed, the Stampin’ Up Stocking builder punch is a terrific addition to the ol’ Christmas crafting collection. But there are so many other ways to use it.
Wanna see what I found? (For a close up of any image, click on the picture.)
HALLOWEEN: Kitty Sits Pretty
With the Stocking builder punch, you can conjure up a sweet little black cat for Halloween.
At first glance, this sleek feline seems calm, cool and collected. On closer inspection, though, she seems to be keeping tabs on a parade of spiders advancing down the wall.
Hurry up, spiders–she might pounce at any moment!
THANKSGIVING: Dogs Give Thanks, Too
Watch out, there’s also a dog in that thar punch–and it’s a *big* dog. And what’s a dog’s favorite holiday? Thanksgiving, of course!
So many wonderful smells. . . so many hands to be petted by. . . so many goodies that can be knocked off the table might just happen to fall off the floor.
Ahhhhh yes, the Day of Yams and Turkey is the closest thing to Dog Heaven on Earth.
HANUKKAH: Menorah Glows in Candlelight
The Stocking punch transcends cute and heads straight for elegant when used to create a Hanukkiah for the Festival of Lights.
Brushed Gold cardstock and touches of shimmer paint capture the warmth of the Hanukkah season.
What will your Jewish friends say when you present them with this beautiful menorah card? Probably something in Yiddish, I imagine.
We’ll be working on tutorials for several of these punch art creations. If you’d like to be among the first to see them, kindly subscribe to InkPaperStamps’ free updates.
