Welcome to the InkPaperStamps stop on the Operation Write Home 2011 Memorial Day Blog Hop! If you’re hopping in order, you’ve just been admiring Yvette’s work at Cre8tive Girls. Wouldn’t that be a great card to find in the mailbox?
Here at InkPaperStamps, we’re playing with stars and swags–and to add to the fun, we’re also offering some blog candy!
GOD BLESS ALL WHO HAVE SERVED
OWH’s theme today is ‘missing you’ cards. For me, Memorial Day is a time to recall our heroes through the generations, particularly those who did not come home. No doubt each of them was–and too many of them are–sorely missed at the dinner table, at family gatherings and in the hearts of their loved ones.
So, whenever the bunting comes out, let us pause to remember those who gave all–and the ones who, ever after, miss them.
(Click on the image for a close up view of this star-spangled salute.)
AND NOW, THE BLOG CANDY

I like thiscard! Would make a great Any Hero card. I regularly send cards to OWH, in fact I’ve been doing it since they were Cards for Heros. Therefore, most of my cards are A2 size. I’d love to win your blog candy. I’ve been admiring that set!
Thanks for all your inspiration and supporting OWH and our Heroes!

Holly (and your dog!), Thanks for your comment on my blog. Haven’t made it to many sites yet, including your beautiful card! I especially love the way you did the scallops and pearls. Hadn’t seen it that way before and it is very attractive. I also wanted to send you this link which is an excellent tutorial on the process for using ink in an embossing folder. Hope you enjoy. Blessings. http://dianagibbs.typepad.com/stampin_with_di/2011/03/a-little-bit-of-cajun.html (You will have to copy and paste as there is no way to make it a link. Sorry)
