OWH Bunny Blog Hop: Punch Art Homage to an Easter Classic (& blog candy!)

Welcome to Stop #20 on the Operation Write Home Bunny Hop Blog Hop

[Note to Early Birds:  The hop officially starts at 9 am (Central Time) on Saturday, at which time all hop posts should be up.  If you're here before then, be sure to circle back later to not miss any of the projects the OWH Bunny Hop hostesses have prepared especially for you.]

If you’re hopping in order, you’ve just been admiring Cindy’s lovely work at Cindy’s Card Co.–her cards always have such a delightful touch of whimsy.

Here at InkPaperStamps, The Dog and I are playing with punches–perhaps today’s idea will inspire you in your own spring cards and scrapbooking.  We’re also offering blog candy and a challenge to support OWH!

When you think of Easter basket candy, what comes to mind?  Somewhere between the chocolate bunny and those blue maltball robin’s eggs, I bet most Americans (of my age, anyway) would say ‘Peeps!’

The yellow chicks are probably the most iconic, but I’m partial to the bunny.  Available in an array of colors not found in nature, the marshmallow hare that most tickles my fancy is the pink one.

So, it is with great pleasure I unveil my card for the OWH Bunny Hop–a punch art homage to a childhood memory entitled ‘Mr. Pinkster in the Grass’.  Run free, cute confection, run free!

It's not Eastertime 'til the Peeps come out.

(Click on the image once for a separate view; then click again for a close up of one sweet rabbit.)

Tutorials for the punch art Peeps-style bunny (and several other yet-to-be-revealed but related projects) are in the works.  If you’d like to be among the first to see them, kindly subscribe to InkPaperStamps’ free updates.
