Punch Art Idea: Winsome Witch (& blog candy!)

Welcome to the 2010 Halloween Punch Art Blog Hop!  You’ll find the list of all the participants–and a blog candy opportunity–at the foot of this post.

As you may recall, InkPaperStamps’ most recent punch art project for Halloween was Newt Eye Bubbling in a Witch’s Cauldron, an exotic concoction threating to boil over at any moment.

Ever since then, the question on everyone’s mind has been ‘Where the heck is the witch?’  I mean, the first lesson you learn in the kitchen is ‘don’t leave anything on the stove unattended’, right?

So I set out to find our wayward enchantress. . . and this is what I discovered (viewer discretion is advised):

The little conjurer has been (*gasp*) sweeping and dusting!

(For a close-up view of the horror, click on the image and then click again.  To zoom in, click a third time.)

Bad witch–bad, bad witch!

And don’t give us that ‘bat lard wouldn’t melt in my mouth’ look; we saw what you were doing with that broom. . . .

Don’t you know Halloween is just around the corner?  All the respectable sorceresses have been letting the cobwebs and dust accumulate for months now.   Their dens will have the proper dank and dreary dinge, while yours will be (*shudder*) neat and fresh.

Young lady, you are going to be hard-pressed to find a single spectre to haunt your house come October 31 if you don’t knock this vile cleaning thing off right now.

Seriously, girl, you could be stamping. . . .

The Winsome Witch punch art creation uses Sizzix Leaves #2 die for the Big Shot and these punches from Stampin’ Up:  Extra Large Star, Itty Bitty Shapes Flower, Scallop Circle, Large Oval, Small Oval, Wide Oval, Two Step Owl, Scallop Square, Scallop Edge Border, Curly Label, Word Window and Modern Label.  Stay tuned to InkPaperStamps for tutorials for the pointy witch hat, broom and the Witch (face and body).

Now, to help overcome the trauma of what we’ve just witnessed, would you like a chance to win the It’s the Thought set?  This was a hostess selection from Stampin’ Up!’s 2010 Summer Mini–the seven-stamp set has images for a multitude of occasions!
