Mini Milk Carton Bigz L Die: Easy Favor for Bridal, Baby Showers

This favor box holds treats first and then memories.

This favor box holds treats first and then memories.

Part of the fun of hosting a shower or luncheon for a bride or mother-to-be is adding those extra little touches, the ones that tell the guest of honor how special she is.

Imagine how thrilled she–and your other guests–will be to see a tiny treat cup like this one gracing each placesetting on your table.

The base for this festive party favor is a die cut from the mini milk carton die (a Stampin’ Up exclusive from Sizzix).  Before folding, cut off the top portion of the die cut.  Then, chomp the top edge of each side of your box with the curly label punch.

A little stamping, a bit of sponging and a touch of shimmer paint. . . . as quick as that and your custom-colored favor box is ready to fold up and fill with goodies.

So, what to fill it with?

Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses for the bride. . . . Sugar Babies for the expectant mom. . . . pillow mints, jelly beans, a favorite penny candy from the honoree’s childhood. . . .if you can tie it up in a snippet of tulle, it’ll work.

And when the guests have taken it home and devored the treats, this little box can sit on a desk and hold paperclips. And memories of time enjoyed with someone special.

The Mini Milk Carton ‘Someone Special’ treat cup was first presented on the Stampin’ Addicts 2010 Stampin’ Up Occasions Mini blog hop.
